Bhishma to Dharmaja - Benefit of Reading this Blog

O Dharmaja! whoever reads, hears story of Suka will attain long life and prosperity and liberation at the end

Sukha Questions and Narada answers / Detail

“O Narada! What is acceptable to all the creatures born in this Universe?” asked Suka.

“O Suka! I tell you those words spoken to by Sanatkumara to other sages and saints. Speaking truth is itself Tapassu. The knowledge we acquired is our eye. Renunciation is happiest thing. Desires create all kinds of troubles and miseries. If humanbeing is attached to worldly pleasures and bondage, he never attains Mukti either in this birth or even in next birth. Viewing from any angle, Desires and anger are enemies to attain liberation. If both are discarded, samsara will vanish. There is no otherway to attain liberation except discarding desires and anger.

Wise and learned attain liberation if they renunciate all Karmas and stop receiving anything from others. The other ways to attain liberation are avoiding unnecessary talk with others and viewing and touching unnecessary things. Those who follow non-violence and control their sense organs without subjecting themselves to distress and ficklemindedness, liberation is nothing but amla in their palm. This is the essense of the words of Sanatkumara.

Besides that, one who is influenced by the love and affection towards wife and children, relatives and friends, and one who is influenced by wordly pleasures, he suffers like a deer in a net. He never comes out of the net. Dharma and Adharma, Truth and falsehood, both shall be discarded. By following nonviolence, one can discard Adharma. Without resolving to do any act, one can discard Dharma. With the help of wisdom, one can discard telling truth or falsehood. By acting in the outside world, one gets fear and sorrow. Wise never cares for them because they are coming and going. These five elements, ten organs, mind, intellect are bundled together in this body. Why are you worrying about this body. Why should we worry for the pains and sorrows caused to wife and children, friends and relatives.” said Narada.

With these words of Narada, Suka attained complete detachment from the wordly objects. “O Saint Narada! with your kind words, I have become wiser.

Kalow Sankeerthya Kesavam / More

Sri Suka Maharishi, the venerable son of Veda Vyasa proclaimed that:

Kalow Sankeerthya Kesavam

"Singing the glory of Lord Kesava is easiest way to attain Perrection in the age of Kali".

Suka Maharishi, Vyasa's great son, a little boy of sixteen years old, was one with all the trees, mountains, and everything. He was just going naked, without consciousness of the body. When Vyasa, his father, called, "Suka, my son! Where are you?" the trees in the forest everywhere started vibrating, "I am here."
There is another story about this great Suka. There was a king called Yudhisthira known in the Mahabharata – a very virtuous man, who did a lot of charity. He won the Mahabharata battle, after he was crowned king, he had a desire to feed millions of people, as a gesture of his greatness as emperor, and he also wanted to know how many people had eaten. He asked great Vyasa, "Can you have some method contrived so that I might know how many have eaten?" Vyasa hung a bell with his mantra. He said, "When one thousand people eat, it will ring once. You can count the number of times it rings, and imagine that so many thousands have eaten."
After all the people had eaten and gone away, the bell started ringing continuously; non-stop it rang. "What is this? Is something wrong with the bell?" Yudhisthira said.
Vyasa said, "My bell cannot do wrong. Some tremendous mystery is there behind it. Once only it will ring when a thousand people eat. You find out if anybody else is eating."
He went looking around and found this little boy Suka, looking unkempt, sitting with a dog, which was licking the leaves, the remains of the people who had eaten, and he was eating one grain. When he ate one grain, the bell started ringing.
The king ran to Vyasa, "Some poor boy is standing there, and he is eating one grain, and immediately it rings as if one thousand people have eaten. Who is that boy?"
Vyasa said, "He is my son. He is the whole universe himself. If one grain goes into his stomach, millions have been fed."
Yudhisthira wept. "I feel ashamed. I never knew that such a person exists, and I am boasting that I have fed millions of people." He fell prostrate before that boy, but Suka was unaware.

Lord Siva Secret Behind his Skull's and Immorality

Once, Parvati devi, the wife of Lord Siva, inquired from her husband about the garland of skulls which adorn his neck.

She wanted to know from whose heads the skulls belong. Lord Siva replied that these were her (Parvati's) heads. Surprised and curious, she asked how was that? Lord Siva told her that because he loved her so much, each time she left her body; he took her head and put the skull on the garland around his neck. Satisfied, Parvati then told Lord Siva that it seems she has had many lifetimes, but he had not. Lord Siva said that was correct. She then inquired how he remains immortal. Lord Siva replied that he is immortal because he is always absorbed in the nectarean narration of Srimad-Bhagavatam.

Desiring to also attain immortality, Parvati devi asked Lord Siva to narrate Srimad-Bhagavatam to her. He agreed, under the condition that they select a private location, that there should be no other living entities present, and Parvati devi must be very attentive and not fall asleep.

Sanyasi

Sukadeva Goswami used to get alms from householders. He would only stay long enough for a cow to be milked. In this case, the quality of a sannyasi is highlighted, of how he is a rolling stone. He is constantly moving from one place to other, so that he does not accumulate the conditioning

Above The Four Defects Of Ordinary Humans

Jayanti

Sukadeva Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Sukadeva Gosvami. It is observed on the no moon day or Amavasi day in Vaishakh month.

Sage Narada confirmed from Brahma that ‘Vaisakha Masa’was of immense consequence as it fulfills all desires to human beings just as a mother did to children. The month is very dear to Vishnu and confers several boons to those who deserve. The month is the essence of Dharma, Yagna, Kriya (noble tasks) and Tapasya.

Vaisakha  is a ‘Dharma Sadhaka’(Virtue-prone) month, just as Veda Vidya is the preeminent of Vidyas, ‘Pranava’is the superlative of Mantras, ‘Kalpa Vriksha’ is the paramount of Trees, Surya Deva is the most superior of all radiances, Sudarshan Chakra is the most powerful among all Shastraas and Astras, Gold is the best of all metals, Siva is the unique among Vaishnavas and ‘Kaustubh’ is the best  among  the jewels. Those who perform ‘Snaan’even before Sunrise are valued by Narayana. Just as Vaishakha, there is no Yuga like Satya, no charity like that of water, no prosperity like farming, no Tapasya like Upavas (fasting), no happiness like giving away, no virtue like mercy and forgiving, no superiority like good health, and above all there is no Bhagavan like Vishnu.

During the month of Vaishakha, ‘Jala Daan’assumes high importance as those who wish to attain affluence must resort to ways and means of supplying water to public; road side outlets to travellers are of great utility especially in Summer season. Planting trees for shade, providing umbrellas, footwear and fans to individuals, ‘Anna daan’ or mid day meals and free accommodation in rest houses especially to ‘Yatris’ and devising other facilities have enormous and far reaching ‘Punya’; the donors of these items would automatically receive manifold benefits in ‘Iham’ (current life) and ‘Param’, especially the ‘Naraka lokas’which one ought to visit after life. To those who give away clothing in charity would be rid of difficulties at birth and death; to those who donate mats that Lord Vishnu Himself rests on; to those who give away bed sheets would have comfortable sleep; to those who provide relaxed clothing to Brahmanas their life span would be extended; to those who donate flowers would be blessed with luxuries in life; to those who offer chandan would enjoy happiness; to those who construct free rest houses would become Kings; to those who provide free facilities of gardens, water wells, and ‘Mandapas’  would have the happiness of good children; and to those who perform rites to ‘Pitras’ by offering Kasturi, Camphor, fragrant material and pots full of scented waters are sure to achieve various types of reliefs in the ‘Paraloka’. While these are illustrative types of charities and the far reaching results of benevolence, the avoidable tasks during the Vaisakha month are eight-folded viz. applying oils on body, bathing in the house, sleeping during the day timings, eating in glass utensils, sleeping on water beds, keeping away from avoidable foods, eating more than once a day and eating in the night. If one takes Vaishakha bath before Sun-rise in any of the Seven Gangas viz. Ganga, Buddha Ganga (Godavari), Kalindi or Yamuna, Saraswathi, Kaveri, Narmada and Veni, the person concerned would be saved from even ‘Pancha Patakas’, let alone lesser level sins. Daanas of ‘Kanda’/ ‘Moola’ (Underground Vegetables), Phala (Fruits) Shakha (Plain Vegetables), Salt, Gud, Edible Leaves, and water would have endless benefits.

While performing ‘Snaanas’during Vaishaka, the following Mantras should be read in praise of Madhusudan as follows:

Madhusudan Devesha Vaishaakhe Meshage Ravai,
Prathahsnaanam karishyaami nirvighnam kuru Madhava.

(Hey Madhusudan, Deveswara Madhava, I am performing Vaishakha month bathing early morning when Surya Deva is situated in Mesha Rasi; Kindly accomplish my bathing without hindrance and bless me). After the bath, one should offer ‘Arghya’ (Handful of water) looking at Sun:

Vaishaakhe Meshage Bhaanau Praathah Snaana paraayanah,
Arghyam theham pradaasmahi gruhaana Madhusudana.

(I am formally offering the ‘Arghya’during early morning of Vaishaka when Surya is in Mesha Rasi; kindly accept, Madhusudana!)

Once there was a King named Kirtiman in Kashipura who went hunting in forests and being desirous of visiting the ‘Ashram’of Sage Vasishtha found several of the Sage’s disciples offering the shade of umbrellas, fruits and cool drinks to passers by.They were unmindful of normal human beings and Kings like him and asked why were they doing the service, they did not reply. On meeting Vasishtha, the King enquired about the acts of the disciples and the Sage described the significance of Vaisakha Month. Pursuant to this the King ordered that the good example of the disciples of the Sage be followed in the nook and corner of the entire Kingdom and was able to save the lives of several of his subjects, especially Brahmanas by providing rest houses, planting trees, supplying food and cool water and creating innumerable facilities to his people. Also, the King organised a Kingdom-wide campaign of propagating Dharma in the Vaishakha Month and spreading the awareness of the ‘do’s and don’ts’ as also strictly enforcing early mornig bathings, performances of daanas, ‘Pujas’by individual families and a general uplift of Dharma. This resulted in a very thin outgo of deaths from his Kingdom in the months of Vaishaka and Lord Yamaraja made an appeal to Brahma that the traffic of deaths and births registered in the Kingdom of Kirtiman was highly disturbed, that there was little difference of ‘Swarga’ and ‘Naraka’ and even those few deaths in the Kingdom made a bee-line to Vaikuntha! Amused by the complaint of Yamaraja, Brahma accompanied by Yamaraja approached the ‘Ksheera Sagar’ (Ocean of Milk) and Vishnu replied smilingly that He would rather leave away His Srivatsa, Kaustubh jewel, Vijayanti Mala, Sweta Dwip, Vaikuntha, Ksheera Sagar, Sesha Nag, Garud or even Devi Lakshmi, but would never abandon His Bhakta Raja Kirtiman. He further said that He would desire to multiply the good illustrations of that King and extend their lives for thousands of Years. He warned Yamadharmaraja not to interfere with the observance of the ‘Mahatmya’ of the month of Vaisakha. However, Lord Vishnu provided for a special dispensation in favour of Yamadharmaraja that the devotees of Vaisaska month should perform a special Puja in his favour during the first half of the month before Purnima and give away a Daan of potful of water, curd and Anna (rice/foodgrains) to appease him. Only after the special Puja that one should observe Pujas to Pitras, Gurus and Bhagavan Vishnu in their names and charity be given to Brahmanas offering cool water, curd, Anna, fruits, betel leaves/ nuts and ‘dakshina’ along with a copper vessel and an Idol of Maha Vishnu.

The importance of Vaisakha Akshaya Triteeya through the end of the month was illustrated by a King Purushaya of Panchaladesha who no doubt was virtuous and noble but lost his kingdom following a famine in his Kingdom and the opportune neighbouring Kings defeated and sent Purushaya into exile. Two Sages explained that Purushaya was a cruel hunter in his previous birth but luckily he showed two old and very thirsty passers-by about the location of a waterbody and hence he became a King; yet Purushaya never performed charity and hence faced bad days. The Sages suggested that the next day was Vaisakha Akshaya Triteeya and the King could therefore observe early morning Snaan, Puja to Lakshmipati, perform charity by way of water-dispensers for the benefit of thirsty passers- by and such other good deeds. Purushaya realised the fault and executed several charitable deeds during Akshaya Triteeya through Amavasya and regained his kingdom eventually and decided to provide many charities in the entire month of Vaisakha month every year. Eventually, the King became a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, had His darshan and attained ‘Sayujya’.

While all the days of Vaishakha Month are significant, Ekadashi, assumes special value. The ideal deeds like Snaan, Daan, Homa, Deva Puja and other Punya Karmas like Japas, Stotras and Katha Shravanas bestow instant results. Those who suffer from illness and acute poverty would be free from Purana Shravana; those who are blind, widows, or normal men, women, and children, youth, old, decrepit and the rest would all be able to lessen or even remove their problems as a result of their virtues on Ekadashi of the month. Similarly, Amavasya of Vaisakha Monthis of the great impact for Pitru Puja and for performing ‘Shraddhas’,’Pinda daanas’ and ‘Tila Tarpanas’.

Gopis

Pariksit Maharaja told Srila Sukadeva Gosvami, “The gopis did not think of Krsna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead or the Supersoul in all hearts. They saw Him as their beloved paramour. In this world, a woman’s relationship with a man who is not her husband is the most degraded thing. How could the gopis have achieved liberation? How could they have been freed from the cycle of birth and death?”

Srila Sukadeva Gosvami became somewhat angry. He said, “I already explained this to you when I discussed the pastime of Sri Prahlada Maharaja:”

kamad dvesad bhayat snehad
yatha bhaktyesvare manah
avesya tad-agham hitva
bahavas tad-gatim gatah

[“Many, many persons have attained liberation simply by thinking of Krsna with great attention and giving up sinful activities. This great attention may be due to lusty desires, inimical feelings, fear, affection or devotional service. I shall now explain how one receives Krsna's mercy simply by concentrating one's mind upon Him.”
(Srimad-Bhagavatam, 7.1.30)]
Although Sri Krsna is beyond the material senses and un-manifest to the eyes of the unqualified, He appeared here in this world and, by the mercy of Yogamaya, all could see His pastimes. If one can achieve Krsna as Sisupala did, out of envy, or like Kamsa Maharaja out of fear, why can the gopis not achieve Krsna through their love and affection for Him?

Four types of persons were able to approach Krsna, and the main quality they had in common was their absorption in Him. Of the four moods, envy and fear are to be rejected. Even though Kamsa and Sisupala were absorbed in Krsna, their mood was not favorable for Krsna-bhakti. We leave aside these two moods – the mood of Kamsa and Sisupala – and we accept the two remaining moods – the mood of the gopis, and the mood of the Yadus like Arjuna and the cowherd boys like Subala, in friendship. Srila Sukadeva Gosvami replied to Maharaja Pariksit’s question, “Have no doubt. By absorption in the Supreme Lord, one will achieve Him, so why would this not be true of the gopis? The gopis are Krsna’s potency (sakti), and they appeared in the forms of heroines in Krsna’s pastimes.

Guru Nanak Sahib writes in his bani

Sukhdev Muni waited for twelve years in the garbage dump outside King Janak's palace. He stood there, and allowed that garbage to fall on his head and in that way he developed humility.

Regarding him, Guru Nanak Sahib writes in his bani, "He allowed that dirt to fall on his head for twelve years but he didn't allow his mind to criticize King Janak-because he was very desirous of getting Naam and he knew that this was only the punishment for his wild mind."

Tests by Janak Maharaj His Diksha Guru Before Initiation

Up to now in the present Iron Age, Saints have come with grace and mercy. They initiate souls without testing them. But, in the previous ages, Saints gave initiation to their disciples only after putting them through very hard tests.

To get Initiation Sukdev went to see King Janak. On his way up to see Him he left his clothes and a metal cup in the courtyard of the king's palace.

When Sukhdev Muni and King Janak were talking with each other, at that time, King Janak, because He was a perfect Saint, created such a Will to teach a good lesson to Sukhdev Muni. What He did was this: after some time an attendant came to King Janak and told Him that the cantonment [the army barracks] of that city was on fire. When King Janak heard that He did not react sharply. He didn't do anything; He was not confused. He said, "It is the Will of God"; and that attendant went away.

Sukhdev Muni thought, "This person is not fit to be a king because the army is like the heart of the king. He should have gone to rescue the people who are in the fire; he should have done something to save them, but he doesn't care. So that is why he is not fit to be the king." After some time, when they were still talking, another person came and told King Janak, "Now the city is on fire." King Janak again remained calm and quiet; He only said, "It is the Will of God." Sukhdev Muni again had that negative thought. He thought, "He is the king and he must have a lot of things in his palace so that is why he thinks, `Why should I worry about the city and the people of my kingdom?' But it is very bad that he doesn't care for the other people. He is only bothered and concerned about his own self. That is why he is only saying, `It is God's Will,' and doing nothing to save the other people."

After some time another person came and said, "Your Highness, now even the palace is on fire. The courtyard of the palace is on fire." At once Sukhdev Muni jumped up to save his clothes and his metal cup. Then King Janak held him by his hand and said, "Now you tell me - who is the renunciate, you or me? You left some clothes and some trivial things in my courtyard, and you are afraid that you will lose them if you don't rush to take them. But you see that when the cantonment was on fire, when the city was on fire, I didn't go to save them because I am not attached to them. So now you can decide who is a renunciate and who is not."

Then Sukhdev Muni learned that in reality he was attached to the world and King Janak was not. Even though King Janak used to live like a worldly person, since He was a King and He had many obligations, many responsibilities, but in fact He was not attached to all those things. He was just performing His duty. So when he realized that King Janak was a perfect One, and that he should take Initiation from Him, he requested, "Master, now You should give me Initiation."

But King Janak was not going to give him Initiation so easily. He told Sukhdev, "Well, I will give you Initiation, but first I will put you to some tests, and if you pass those tests, only then you will get the Initiation."

King Janak gave Sukhdev Muni a cup full of oil and told him, "You take this oil, and holding this cup in your hand, go around the city. If you come back with the same amount of oil, without dropping even a single drop of this oil, only then will I understand that you can concentrate, and that you can do the meditation. And only then will I give you Initiation." He said, "Mind that, if you drop even a single drop of oil on the ground, you should know that a person with an open sword is behind you, and he will cut off your head, so you should be very careful."

When Sukhdev Muni took that cup of oil and went into the city, King Janak, at many places in the city, had arranged some distractions, such as dancers and other things. This was only to attract Sukhdev Muni's attention. But Sukhdev Muni had the desire of realizing God, and he wanted to get the Initiation from the perfect Master, and since he knew that if he dropped the oil he would be killed, he was afraid of death also. So his mind didn't tell him to look at all those things, all those distractions, and he was so concentrated in that cup of oil that even though he went all around the city he didn't look at any other thing except that cup of oil. When he came back to King Janak having passed that test King Janak asked him, "Tell me, what did you see in the city? Did you like the city?" He said, "Let me tell you that I didn't see anything in the city. I don't know what was happening there, because I was afraid that I would be killed if I removed my attention from this cup of oil, so I was fully concentrated on this cup."

Then King Janak said, "Now I see that you can concentrate in the meditation but You Require
Humbleness to be initated for now you go back to your father Ved-Vyasa."

At that time King Janak refused to give initiation to Sukhdev Muni and told him, "You will have to wait." He went back to his father Ved-Vyasa and told him, "Father, He won't give me initiation." So Ved-Vyasa replied, "My son, there is no substitute for it, because He is the only perfect Saint and you are to get initiation from Him." Then he advised him, "Just as you were criticizing and thinking ill of King Janak, now you have to repent for that, and you will have to develop humility." And Sukhdev Muni learned that lesson; it is said that he waited for twelve years in the garbage dump outside King Janak's palace. He stood there, and allowed that garbage to fall on his head and in that way he developed humility.

Then after twelve years he got initiation from King Janak, and when he came back to his home his father asked him, "Did you get the initiation from your Master, King Janak?" And he replied, "Yes, I got initiation." Then his father asked him, "How is your Master? What is He like?" Sukhdev didn't reply. So Ved-Vyasa asked, "Is He like the sun?" Then Sukhdev replied, "Yes, He is radiant like the sun, but the sun has heat; He is without heat." Then Ved-Vyasa asked him, "Is He like the moon?" Sukhdev Muni replied, "Yes, He is cool like the moon, but the moon has a stain. My Master is stainless." And then he said, "How can I praise my Master? He is Himself-whatever He is, He is." He said, "I don't have a tongue with which I can praise my Master because He is all in all, He is perfect, He is all pervading."

Need of Guru - Narada His Shiksha Guru

Sukhdev Muni was the son of Ved-Vyasa [a great Rishi, author of the Mahabharata] and he had knowledge right from the time when he was in the womb of his mother. It is said that God suspended the action of Maya for five seconds so that he could be born. He had access to the in-ner planes and heavens from birth. But when he went into the region of Lord Vishnu, he was thrown out-because he did not have any Master over his head. He was very proud that his father was Ved-Vyasa, who was called yogishwar (or "great yogi") and because of that he thought that he didn't need any Guru or Master.

So when he was thrown out from Vishnu Puri, he came to Ved-Vyasa and asked him, "They won't allow me to enter that heaven. Do I also need some Master or Guru?" Ved-Vyasa said, "Yes. The law is the same for everybody, whether he is the son of a Rishi or Muni or anyone. This law is applicable to everybody because it is made by God Himself. No man has made this law; God Himself has put the Guru in between Him and the soul."

Then Sukhdev asked Ved-Vyasa whom he shouid accept as his Master.Ved-Vyasa replied, "At present time, only King Janak is a perfect Saint; and only He has been given permission from God
to give out knowledge of Naam-the practice for the realization of God." Now Sukhdev Muni was a renunciate and King Janak was a householder. He thought, "I'm a renunciate! How, can I take a householder as my Guru?" It is said in his history that he was born as an avatar, with twelve supernatural powers. So he would go to King Janak, but he kept coming back without getting initiation; because he was always thinking something bad about King Janak. And each time he came back he lost one of his supernatural powers: because this is the law of nature, that if we criticize or abuse any Mahatma or beloved of God, we lose whatever we have.So in that way, as he was losing his supernatural powers.

Rishi Narada had pity on him and wanted to make him aware of what he was doing. So Rishi Narada created a false river and disguised himself as an old man and, when Sukhdev Muni was passing by, Narada began throwing basketfuls of sand in that river. When Sukhdev Muni came there and saw this, he said, "Oh, old man, what are you doing? You are a fool. This is not the way to build a dam. First of all you should arrange some logs of wood and then place some big rocks among them and, after that, you should put sand on it. If you simply go on throwing in sand, that will just be washed away by the flow of the river, and your time will be wasted; you will not be able to build this dam in this lifetime."

Then Rishi Narada told Sukhdev Muni, "You are looking at what I am losing. But there is a bigger fool than I am, and he is Sukhdev Muni, the son of Ved-Vyasa. He does not realize that through criticizing a Saint, he has lost ten of his twelve supernatural powers." When Sukhdev Muni heard this, he was stunned and fainted dead away.

When he regained consciousness, he saw that there was no river and there was no Rishi Narada. He became conscious of a very great loss and started off to see King Janak to get initiation.

How to over the fear of death

Rahasya Upanishad

Two Sukhas - Two Versions Explained

Version 1
In the Brahma vaiavarta purana there is description of life of Vyasadev. Srila Vyasadev married the daughter of Jabali. They performed austerities for so many years. Then when they a conceived child, the child remainedin the womb of his mother for 12 years. This child was Sukadev Goswami. The child did not like to come out of the womb because he did not want to be contaminated by external energy of the Lord. The child addressed this to his father Vyasadev from the womb. Then Vyasadev carefully instructed whole Srimad Bhagavatam to him while he was still in the womb of his mother.

Vyasadev became worried as it was already 12 years past the child being in womb. He went to Dwaraka to inform his condition to Lord Krishna. He requested Lord Krishna to come to his home to talk to the child. Lord Krishna assured the child that he will never be influenced by maya. Then Sukadev Goswami came out of the womb and just left the place. He was already grown up as young child. He began to wander as parivrajakacharya. When his father became aggrieved of his separation he created his duplicate who lived as son of Srila Vyasadev.

Version 2
The Mahabharata tells us that Sage Veda Vyasa had meditated on Bhagwan Shiva for a hundred years to obtain a great child. Pleased by Vyasa’s devotion, Shiva blessed him with a son who was as pious as agni (fire), vayu (air), bhumi (earth), jala (water), and akaash (space) and who was fully immersed in Brahman. Right after his birth, Shukadeva knew everything that his father had learned over the ages. And he became revered among the gods and rishis for his understanding.

Because of Shukadeva’s higher awareness, worldly responsibilities could not impress him. And he started his search for liberation early in life. After training with gurus like Janak and Narada, Shukadeva finally decided that he would forever enter the brilliance of Surya (the sun god), the Self of everyone in the solar system. Shukadeva announced, “I need permission from all -- snakes, mountains, land, space, gods, and demons. Through the power of my yoga, I will be entering all the souls of the world today.”

When Vyasa heard that his son was no longer alive, he was shocked. Shiva appeared again and said, “There is no need to feel sad. Your son was exactly like what you had expected him to be. As long as mountains and rivers exist, you and your son will be remembered. And by my grace, you will see your son’s shadow everywhere in this world.” When Vyasa looked around, he saw his son in all. And he started smiling. For Welfare of the world Vyasa
created his duplicate who lived as son of Srila Vyasadev
